Napapijri x StudioXAG: Portal to the Inevitable

To launch Napapijri’s first store in Dubai, we have designed ‘Portal to the Inevitable’ – a sculpture with a future glitch aesthetic influenced by the spirit of the city.

The striking sculpture is inspired by the Desert Hyacinth, a pyramid shaped flower which is indigenous to Dubai, and evokes speed and movement, reflecting the rapid expansion and development of the city.

The coarse terrain of the city is epitomised by the incorporation of hand sculpted rock. The abstract form represents movement and the acrylic reflects the past looking to the future.
