Tree-planting for carbon offsetting this Christmas

In the spirit of giving this Christmas… we’ve planted 100 trees and offset 100 tonnes of carbon!

As part of our company-wide sustainability initiative, we have calculated and assessed our primary carbon footprint for the year, focusing on emissions that are within our control and considering how we can reduce them. Any emissions that we’ve been unable to reduce, we have begun to offset.

Whilst we accept that carbon offsetting is not the answer, we believe that every contribution helps. In this spirit, we’ve partnered with UK-based Carbon Footprint to offset 100 tonnes of carbon through a deforestation reduction programme in the Amazon, this was actually over 30 tonnes more than the negative impact we’d made in 2019. In addition to this, they’ve planted 100 native broad-leaf saplings in a nearby school in London on our behalf, making a positive impact on our local community as well as the wider environment.

This is just the beginning – we continue to consider ways in which we can further reduce our carbon emissions.
